Electric Transmission SIG: Using GIS for a Smarter and Resilient Grid
Electric transmission faces critical challenges from aging infrastructure and limited capacity, delaying renewable energy interconnections. This SIG seeks input from participants on how GIS can address these issues, with discussions focused on four key areas: asset management, right-of-way management, growth, and resilience.
Reservations will be held until five minutes prior to the start time before seating will be opened to attendees in the on-site queue. If attendees with a reservation remove the session from their schedule, the next person on the wait list will automatically receive that open reservation. Wait lists will only be available before the conference. On-site walk-in attendance may be available dependent on room capacity and will be allowed on a first-come, first-served basis.
