- Mapping Our Future: Developing a Roadmap and ArcGIS Utility Network for MS4 Assets
The County of San Diego has begun the effort of converting outdated drainage data to a comprehensive MS4 GIS inventory for 3500 sq mi of unincorporated area. An iterative process was used to create a comprehensive Roadmap to ensure cohesive MS4 data collection at present, and into the future. Instrumental in this initiative was the use of the Esri Solution: Stormwater ArcGIS Utility Network Foundation. The use of data loading tools, connectivity rules, and attribute rules to ensure accurate data entry are key in efficiently embarking on the Roadmap to update the MS4 stormwater asset inventory.
