Broadband for All: Strategies to Bridge the Digital Divide
Presentations
- Fiber Optic Networks: The Journey to Tracing & Digital SplicingFollow the journey that the City of Fargo took to get its fiber optic network from basic lines and points to a fully functioning network. This presentation will focus on the tools and procedures used to get their network to have the capability to interact with strands, cables, and entire routes. These include individual strand tracing, digitally splicing, cable configuration, and naming. With the help of mPower Innovations’ tool called ‘FiberPro’, along with Esri’s robust tables and relationship classes, the City of Fargo is able to have a comprehensive and interactive fiber optic network.
